How it works

Your code runs on every note

The computer takes each note of the melody, hands it to your change function, and plays back whatever you return. No loops needed - your rule runs once per note.

Try these

Move only the loud "finish" notes up.

Make every 3rd note twice as long.

Use note.index to climb higher and higher.

Why this lab

The child writes the transformation rule themselves, then hears and sees exactly what their code did. Code becomes a real instrument, not a prompt.
