Cricut DIY

Start with your own drawing. Turn it into a digital design. Then cut it, press it, and walk out wearing it โ€” a complete journey from idea to something real.

Most art ends on paper. This one doesn't.

In this class, kids take a drawing of their own all the way to a finished t-shirt โ€” learning a bit of design, a bit of technology, and a lot about how ideas become real things.

It's creativity you can wear: think โ†’ discover โ†’ create.

How it works

A four-step journey: draw โ†’ digitize โ†’ cut โ†’ wear.

1 ยท Draw it

It begins with a simple idea โ€” your own character, word, or doodle. No screens yet. Just imagination on paper.

2 ยท Make it digital

We scan the drawing and refine it on screen โ€” cleaning lines, choosing colors, turning it into a crisp, cut-ready design. This is where kids meet real digital creation tools.

3 ยท Cut & weed

A Cricut machine cuts the design from heat-transfer vinyl. Then comes weeding โ€” removing the extra material to reveal the final shape. It takes patience, focus, and precision.

4 ยท Press & wear

We heat-press the design onto a shirt. Your drawing becomes something you can wear out into the world.
